‘REA’ Mode of Transportation

When a customer requests to be billed on their own shipping account:

  • Manually replace mode of transportation with “REA”.
    • This instructs the shipping department to read special instructions.
    • Remove Freight Flag (Uncheck Apply Freight).
    • Add a HEADER ATTACHMENT in the 1st Text Box.
  • Header Attachment must include (all on one line):
    • Carrier to be used: FedEx, UPS, etc.
    • Shipping method: 2-day, overnight priority, ground, etc.
    • Account number to be billed: Customer’s shipping company account # (Not their Carolina account #!).
  • VERY IMPORTANT! –
    • Keep header attachment on top line only!
    • The department will not know if shipment needs to be expedited based on Mod Trn.
      • It will automatically ship GRD (SDN for living) unless a header attachment is added!
    • The Header must be in the 1st text box otherwise it will not print on the pick ticket!
    • Always remove Freight Flag! Customer will be double billed if not removed!
    • Do NOT click calculate freight!
