Customer Service Quote Guidelines

Quote Request Calls/Chats

  • If customer has a spreadsheet or other document type they can easily email:
  • If not, CSR will set up the quote in JDE over the phone/chat
  • See Customer Service Quote Generation Procedure
  • If customer has questions about an existing quote they’ve already received, please transfer them to ext. 6300 or ask them to email quotations@carolina.com

Extending Quote Expiration Date

For the foreseeable future, please make all Quotes:

  • Quotes are now good for 60 days only, no discounts will be available on microscopes, equipment, or anatomical models now so they will be quoted at full current price for the time being.
  • Please do not extend any quotes if the following items are listed: microscopes, equipment, or anatomical models.
  • Reach out to quotations for any quotes that have expired past 60 days and to extend any of the restricted items listed at quotations@carolina.com.
  • When emailing quotations please include the following information: customer’s name, quote number, email address, and telephone number.

 

Adding Quantities

  • Do not lower quantities on quotes
  • If there is a free freight line or no freight line at all on the quote:
    • Add additional quantity then “Submit and Close”
    • Do not alter pricing on quote
  • If customer requests additional bulk discounts:
    • Refer them to Quotations
  • If quote has a priced freight line:
    • Contact Quotations
      • Have them add quantity and any additional freight
      • If you make any changes, the quote will go back on QH, contact 7050 to release from hold.
