Living Material Sexing Charge

Some living material can be segregated by sex even if not listed that way online or in the catalog.
- If a customer requests a specific sex for a living item:
  - Check online to see if we offer males and females as a list item.
  - If not, check with the department to see if the organism can be sexed.
If the item can be sexed:
- Key SERVCHG in the item number field.
- Key description as “Charge for Sexing”.
- Key unit price as $10.
- Service Charge line must have same dates as the item it goes with.
- Add a detail attachment on the item needing to be sexed.
  - Example: 5 Male 5 Female
This charge is for living items only. It does not apply to preserved material.
