Restricted Items

  • Items that are restricted to a state with no substitute options receive a red error message at the top of the screen stating: ‘ITEM HAS BEEN RESTRICTED FROM SALE’.
  • Every Ship-to in JDE has been programed with every restricted item for that state.
    • When setting up a new ship-to, the system will automatically run this program to flag the new ship-to with the correct restrictions.
  • You must delete the line to continue with order.
  • You must key a header attachment in 1st text box explaining that the item is restricted to the customer’s state.  
    • ‘Item Comments’ will remain in JDE as well.
  • For all order sources (Except Phone):
    • When this is the only item on the order:
      • You must either call or email the customer to inform them that the restricted item(s) has been cancelled from their order.
