Can I see how much time students are spending on their labs?

Whether you can see how much time your students are spending on their labs depends on how you are accessing your Gateway resources. If you have set up your Gateway resources using an LTI link in your LMS, you will not be able to see how long students are spending on their labs.  If you have set up your Gateway resources via the Single Sign-On option, then you will be able to see how long students are spending on their labs in CSO. 

To do this:  

• Log-in to CSO either via CSO directly or through the link in your LMS. 
• Navigate to “Assignments” in the tool bar on the left. 

• Select the assignment you wish to view.  This will open a screen with all of your students who have been assigned that resource.  
• After the student’s name, you will see various fields including whether the assignment has been submitted, their cumulative score on the pre-lab assessment and the time spent in the resource.  You can also use this view to assign a grade to their lab notebook and open the resource to the last page the student accessed by clicking on the link for the resource (R1, R2, etc.)
