If you click on the “camera” button when using the virtual microscope and you only see a black circle, please try the following:

1. Make sure that the computer is not in “dark mode”. Especially if you are a Mac user, the dark mode UI messes with the light filters in the virtual microscope. You may need to restart you computer after switching it off for it to actually take effect.
2. Refresh the simulation. Closing the lab and restarting the simulation clears most errors. You can also try to clear your cookies and cache. Sometimes cookie errors can prevent a page from loading
3. Use a private browser such as Google Incognito mode or safari Private Browser.
4. Use a different program to capture the image. While the built-in capture tool is meant to make taking pictures easier, you can use any tool to take the screenshot. You can use your computer’s built in screenshot feature and then open it in a photo editor to add the captions.
